A. Musante has been in commercial real estate in the
Greater Oakland area for 27 years. He joined the Oakland
office of Colliers Parrish International, Inc. after working
with CB Richard Ellis, and has been involved in the leasing
and sales of property in Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville,
Alameda, and other East Bay cities. He holds a Bachelor's
degree in economics and a law degree. In his real estate
capacity, he has written presentations and proposals for
both the Company and the clients he serves. A. Musante
was the assistant coach for the girls CYO team at his
daughter's middle school and has been the assistant coach
for several years for the Piedmont Basketball Foundation
and his son's MVP basketball team. A. Musante grew up
learning basketball playing with the "Newell brothers" (sons
of Pete Newell, Sr., the former University of California,
Berkeley head men's basketball coach and U.S. Olympic
basketball coach) and continued this passion as a
freshman and sophomore basketball player at Bishop
O'Dowd High School. His love of the fundamentals of
basketball came from watching two gifted coaches, Pete
Newell, Sr., and Frank LaPorte, former head coach, men's
basketball, Bishop O'Dowd High School and St. Joseph of
Notre Dame High School, Alameda, California. He brings
that love of "fundamentals" to his coaching of young boys
and girls. He has contributed a great deal of both
basketball as well as general sports knowledge to this
book.
